Dillon Julius, sophomore business administration major from Watertown and Anna Sukstorf, freshman education major from Spearfish, received gift certificates to the Black Hills State University Bookstore from Joe Valades, recently. They were two of five winners in the Take 5 and Win $50 campaign.
The campaign encouraged students to register early for fall 2008 classes. BHSU students who registered for fall classes by May 2 were entered into a drawing for one of five $50 bookstore gift cards, sponsored by the BHSU Bookstore, Alumni Association, and the Center for Academic Success. Early registrants also received a Take 5 candy bar. The early registration campaign and many other BHSU initiatives have been instrumental in boosting BHSU’s first time undergraduate retention rate to a ten year high.
