Dr. Janeen Larsen
Dr. Janeen Larsen, chair of the department of fine and applied arts at Black Hills State University, will perform at the Adams Museum and House Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m.  Larsen will play selections from the sheet music collection of the Historic Adams House. 

Adams Art:  A Musical Interlude explores the important role music played in the lives Black Hills residents during the 1870s. Larsen chose and arranged selections from the Adams sheet music collection.  Also, Larsen will provide commentary on the significance of the pieces of music played. Accompanists include notable vocalists Dr. Susan Hove-Pabst, professor emeritus, Dr. Jonathon Nero, BHSU music instructor, and Mr. Dan O’Shea.

The event is open to the public.  Admission is free to members and $5 for non-members.  Seating is limited.  Concert guests will also receive a 24-page publication on the history of music in the Black Hills and a companion CD of recorded period music.
