The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently selected Black Hills State University as a member of the NAIA Champions of Character program.
The Champions of Character program began in 2000 and addresses character issues more comprehensively than any other national program for youth. The program currently reaches students on nearly 300 college and university campuses.
The goal of the program is to create an environment where every participant upholds the true spirit of competition, including respect, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. As a participant, BHSU will uphold the message of the Champions of Character program at sporting events in the next year.
