Black Hills State University will host an Arts and Humanities Research Blitz Friday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. in Jonas Academic Hall Room 305. The blitz will provide the public with an opportunity to hear about the various areas of research on which BHSU faculty and students are working.
The blitz gives each presenter five minutes to give a brief overview of their current research. Faculty members Kent Meyers, Dr. Amy Fuqua, Dr. Vincent King, Dr. Peggy Buckwalter, Dave Wilson, Dr. Pam Wegner, Steve Babbitt, Jace DeCory, and Dr. Mary Husemann will present. The faculty research topics include fiction, creative non-fiction, literary criticism, Spanish, visual arts, theatre, photography, and American Indian oral literature. Amanda Scott, senior music major from Custer, will present her research on music therapy.
