The heart-warming story It’s a Wonderful Life will be performed Dec. 6-8 at 7:30 p.m. in Woodburn Auditorium by the Black Hills State University Theater Department.
It’s a Wonderful Life not only celebrates the season, it celebrates the American philosophy of life: that hard work, fair play, and the love and support of family and community will be rewarded. It’s a Wonderful Live is the story of George Bailey, an everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls whose dreams of escape and adventure have been repeatedly quashed by notions of family obligation and civic duty. On Christmas Eve, George’s guardian angel, Clarence, descends to save him from despair, and to remind him that he has a wonderful life. Bailey is played by Ian Vytlacil, BHSU senior mass communications major from Box Elder. Clarence is played by Phil Braun, BHSU freshman speech communications major from Gregory.
