A workshop, “Market Your Business on Facebook,” will be held at the University Center-Rapid City, Wednesday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to noon in room 106.
The SD Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), located on the campus of Black Hills State University has partnered with Black Hills PR to offer this workshop. Participants should have a basic understanding of how things work on Facebook as well as experience using Facebook in a personal capacity. This workshop will be most helpful for those who have a fan page set up, but are not sure what to do next.
Workshop topics will include: defining your Facebook marketing strategy; understanding the components of a business page; determining what content to share; toggling between your page and your personal profile; getting fans to interact with your page; and more. Participants will also learn easy tips on setting up your profile picture, tips on driving traffic to your page from outside Facebook, and a basic overview of Facebook Insights.
“Having a presence on Facebook is a smart marketing move for many companies and non-profits. Having a strategy and understanding some of the basics will help participants see faster results using the platform. The goal of this fast-paced workshop is to provide a ‘quick start success plan’ using Facebook with real world tools and tips that can be put to use right away,” says Michelle Kane, owner of Black Hills PR and workshop presenter.
