A workshop, “Mobile Media Marketing,” will be held at the University Center-Rapid City Wednesday, Apr. 17 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in room 125. The class will also be available via the Dakota Digital Network (DDN) at Northern State University, South Dakota State University, Dakota State University, University of South Dakota and the University Center- Sioux Falls from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST.
The SD Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), located on the campus of Black Hills State University, has partnered with Black Hills PR and For The Win Interactive (FTW) to bring this workshop to Rapid City.
Workshop attendees will learn: how to incorporate a mobile strategy into your marketing plan, what you need to know about the technical components, trends in mobile marketing, and content & execution of a mobile marketing solution.
“Engaging customers through a mobile marketing strategy is a hot topic. Smartphone use continues to be strong and there are new opportunities for businesses and non-profits to communicate with their customers in ways like never before. This workshop will help participants better understand how to incorporate mobile into their overall marketing plan,” said Michelle Kane, owner of Black Hills PR, Spearfish.

With over 20 years experience in marketing for a wide range of companies and non-profits, Kane guides clients in all areas of public relations, marketing strategy, and social media. Also presenting the workshop is Jim Carter, president of For The Win Interactive. Jim oversees all of FTW’s operations, including more than a dozen staff members working with mobile applications that support over 80,000 people in a wide range of industries. Some of FTW’s biggest clients include: LPS, Fidelity National Title, Old Republic Title, DirecTV and Medtronic.
