Dr. Janeen Larsen (left), BHSU emeritus professor of music, and Lori Miller, BHSU adjunct instructor of piano and voice, will present a concert featuring music of two pianos, Sunday, March 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall on the campus of Black Hills State University.
The Black Hills State University Friends of Music will present a concert featuring music of two pianos Sunday, March 10, at 2:30 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall on the BHSU campus.

The concert features two performers well-known throughout the region: Dr. Janeen Larsen, BHSU emeritus professor of music, and Lori Miller, BHSU adjunct instructor of piano and voice.

The program titled “Musical Pictures” will include familiar works that are closely related to visual images. Features works include selections from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Holst’s Jupiter. Additional works by Bizet, Debussy, and Mendelssohn will also be performed.

The concert is “listener-friendly” to audience members of all ages, and is open to the public with no admission fee. Donations are encouraged to support the Friends of Music Scholarships, a fund established in 2003 to support BHSU music students.  The public is welcome to attend the dress rehearsal on Thursday, March 7 at 12:30 pm.
