The Black Hills State University Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), the women’s business center at BHSU, will host Facebook for Retirees in Jonas Hall room 205 Thursday, Oct. 18 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Facebook for Retirees is a workshop to help retirees learn the basics of Facebook.
SIFE is an international organization that mobilizes university students around the world to make a difference in their communities while developing skills to become socially responsible business leaders.
The SD CEO is part of a network of more than 110 centers nationwide established through the Small Business Association.
Jessie Jamtgaard, composite business administration and human resource management major from Gillette, Wyo., and SIFE project manager, says, “BHSU SIFE and the SD CEO recognized an area of opportunity for retirees in the movement toward social media interactions. We are hoping that by educating and interactively showing retirees how to use Facebook they will be able to utilize its capabilities to communicate with their families and friends in a convenient manner.
