The Spearfish Piano Duet Club will host a concert entitled “Fiddle Faddle” Saturday, April 30 at 2:30 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall on the Black Hills State University campus.
The club has performed in the area since 2004. Performers include: Jean Arehart, Sandra Asheim, Kathy Daum, Lynette Daum, Mona Hauck, Ardyth Helmer, Rita Hicks, Valerie Hawkins, Laura Kolb, Janeen Larsen, BHSU professor emeritus, and Lori Miller, BHSU adjunct instructor of music. The program will include popular and light classical music for one or two pianos.
The Duet Club began in 2003, under the leadership of the late Synva Chrysler, as a way for intermediate and advanced pianists to maintain their piano skills and at the same time have fun and enjoy each others’ musical talents. Members of the community as well as BHSU music faculty and students are involved in the performance and rehearsal concert activities. The concert is free and open to the public.
