Black Hills State University Friends of Music will host a piano concert entitled, “Tea for Two,” Feb. 27, at 2:30 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall.

Pianists Lori Miller, piano instructor and staff accompanist, and Janeen Larsen, professor emeritus, will perform a concert of familiar masterworks for two pianos. The program includes works by Bach, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Chabrier, Ravel, and Brubeck. Miller and Larsen are both well-known performers throughout the region. Last year the Miller family donated a new grand piano to the Music Department, and this special concert will be performed on two Yamaha concert grands.

The Friends of Music was established in 2003 as a way to raise funds for music scholarship and increase music department visibility. The concert is open to the public with no admission fee; donations are encouraged. The concert will be followed by a reception with tea, coffee, and chocolates.
