Black Hills State University students recently participated in a business etiquette dinner which was also an opportunity for the students to meet with alumni and community members.

BHSU alumnae, Elaine Doll-Dunn, provided an informational session on using proper etiquette. The students, some of whom are graduating this year, also had the opportunity to network for employment ideas.

Doll-Dunn, an avid runner who has completed marathons in 38 states and the District of Columbia, authored a book on her 26.2 marathons in 2000. A former educator and school counselor in Spearfish, she is now a motivational speaker who holds claim to many amazing accomplishments including running from the Atlantic to the Pacific, 60 miles across Panama to celebrate her 60th birthday; being named Mrs. South Dakota at age 61; and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and winning a marathon there a day later.

The event was sponsored by the BHSU Student Ambassadors, the Career Center, the Student Senate and the Alumni Association.
