Black Hills State University faculty and staff are transforming lives and making headlines.
Don Altmyer, professor of business, Dr. Ken Schallenkamp, associate professor of business, Dr. Ron DeBeaumont, professor of business, and Dr. Sheng Yang, associate professor of business, had their paper “Student Ethical Awareness and Business Program Matriculation: A Case Study” accepted for presentation at the 2011 Las Vegas Global Conference on Business and Finance in January 2011. As lead author, Altmyer will be delivering the presentation at this conference.
Dr. Holly Downing, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, recently presented and participated as a panelist for a session entitled “On Becoming the Private College within the Public University, or Budgeting in an Era of Rapidly Declining State Support,” at the national conference for the Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences for Deans in New Orleans, La. Approximately 500 deans, assistant deans and associate deans from universities all over the United States and Canada attend this conference each year. Downing also served as a facilitator for a discussion group on case studies for the conference and worked on the Committee on Comprehensive Institutions, which organizes a meeting for comprehensive university administrators and a conference session.
