Black Hills State University Yellow Jacket football players recently visited the BHSU Little Jackets Learning Center.
Drew Hodgs, senior quarterback from Douglas, Wyo., and Kale Deminck, senior outside linebacker from Douglas, Wyo., spent an afternoon answering questions and throwing the football with the children at the learning center. The children asked important questions like, “How much you eat?” “How did you get your big muscles?” “How many hamburgers do you eat at McDonalds?” and “How did you get to be a Yellow Jacket football player?”
Hodgs and Deminck also signed footballs and shirts for the children and enjoyed a snack of football shaped Oreo cookies.
Diane Mabey, coordinator of the Little Jackets Learning Center, noted that the children enjoyed the visit and learned a lot from the athletes. “We will probably do it again as the kids thought it was very cool,” Mabey said.
