Due to the great demand, the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) at Black Hills State University has scheduled another Business Luncheon Seminar. The April 14 seminar, focused on marketing, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union, Jacket Legacy Room at BHSU. A question and answer session will follow.

The seminar, “How to Write a Marketing Plan,” will be presented by Dr. Annette Ryerson, associate professor of marketing at BHSU, and will offer information on the latest marketing techniques.

The seminar is co-sponsored by Dakota Rising, an organization designed to spur South Dakota’s rural economy.

Register online at www.BHSU.edu/SDCEO, email at Chris.Coolidge@BHSU.edu, or phone (605) 642-6435. Registration for the seminar closes on April 9. The $20 registration fee includes lunch.

Future seminars will include the following topics: expanding your business, starting a home-based business, opportunities for women veterans, social media marketing, financial needs of a small business and more.

Located in Woodburn Hall on the BHSU campus in Spearfish, the SD CEO was recently established to provide management and technical assistance, comprehensive training, and counseling for entrepreneurs. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. SBA, and is part of a network of more than 175 centers nationwide established through the SBA’s women’s business funding. While services are available to all those interested in entrepreneurship, there is a special emphasis on women, women veterans, Native Americans, socially and/or economically disadvantaged, and youth entrepreneurs.
