Dr. Priscilla Romkema, dean of the College of Business and Technology at Black Hills State University, qualified for the 2010 Boston Marathon that will be held April 19—Patriots’ Day.
Romkema qualified for her seventh Boston Marathon last summer while competing in the Leading Ladies’ Marathon that was held in Spearfish Canyon. Romkema is one of 26 runners from South Dakota qualified and registered for this year’s Boston Marathon.
The Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest and most prestigious annual marathon. The 25,000 participants begin in the rural town of Hopkinton and run the legendary course through eight cities and towns before finishing in Boston’s Back Bay.
