The Dakota Chamber Orchestra will begin rehearsals for the 2009-2010 season Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. on the campus of Black Hills State University in Spearfish. Rehearsals are held in the Meier Hall Band Room.
This marks the 10th season for the Dakota Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Randall Royer. The orchestra provides an outlet for area string players to come together, play music and improve their skills. The orchestra also entertains the northern Black Hills with string orchestra music from many different musical style periods.
The orchestra has two concerts scheduled for this season with the first concert being Sunday, Nov. 15. All string players in the Spearfish area are encouraged to attend the first rehearsal. For additional information, please call Dr. Randall Royer, conductor, at 642-6255 or Randall.Royer@bhsu.edu.
