Black Hills State University recently announced changes to its Senior Tickets (formerly known as the Golden Age Activity Ticket) program. BHSU is now offering separate senior tickets for athletic and fine arts events.

The Yellow Jacket Senior Ticket provides with admission to athletic events. Last year Yellow Jacket athletics recorded a record-breaking year and they are looking forward to another stellar year of competition. The Yellow Jacket Senior Ticket costs $25.

The BHSU Fine Arts Ticket, which provides admittance for concerts and theatre performances throughout the school year, is available for $10. BHSU has an exceptional season of fine arts events scheduled including four major theatre productions, several band, jazz and choir concerts, as well as faculty and student recitals.

“The fall 2009 semester is fast approaching and we are looking forward to another great year of exceptional fine arts events and exciting Yellow Jacket athletic events. I thank you for your attendance at Black Hills State University events. Your presence makes a strong impact on our students as they participate in extracurricular programs as a part of their educational experience,” President Kay Schallenkamp says. “Both tickets are great values and provide you the opportunity to experience exceptional cultural and athletic events throughout the year at BHSU.”

Tickets, available to anyone 65 years old or older, are sold at the front desk of the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center and at the cashier’s window on first floor in Woodburn Hall (Woodburn 115) on the BHSU campus.
