Black Hills State University photography students are currently exhibiting photographs in the Photographers Gallery at BHSU through Aug. 31.
The exhibit consists of over 100 photographs from more than 50 students. The work includes conventional black and white, color photographs, digitally produced photographs, and a variety of alternative silver and non-silver processes. The images were taken from work produced by the Advanced Photography and Studio Lighting classes offered this spring.
The Photographers Gallery is located in the lower level of Jonas Hall on the BHSU campus and is open during regular business hours.
Geneva Kuhn, junior mass communication major from Rapid City, who also has work in the Photographers Gallery, will exhibit photos through May 31 at Roma’s Restaurant in downtown Spearfish. Kuhn’s exhibit, “The Calm before the Storm” consists of 11 images printed with the alternative photographic process know as Cyanotype. The exhibit displays the life of snowboarders and their passion for the sport.
