Black Hills State University faculty and staff are transforming lives and making headlines with their achievements.

Daluss Siewert, associate professor of mathematics, was recently elected Chairperson of the Rocky Mountain Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) at the section’s annual meeting in Golden, Colo. The MAA is the largest professional society that focuses on mathematics accessible at the undergraduate level. Siewert will serve a one year term on the Rocky Mountain Section of the MAA Executive Committee as chairperson-elect followed by a two year term as chairperson.

Barbara Zwetzig, director of the Center for Business, Entrepreneurship & Tourism at Black Hills State University, attended the 23rd International Conference on Business Incubation. The conference offered numerous educational sessions and networking venues to help business incubation and economic development professionals from around the world learn more about developing sustainable incubation programs and nurturing entrepreneurial talent.
