Black Hills State University business students recently won the Idea Creation competition at Launch ’09, an entrepreneurship education event which included college participants from across the state.

The students who represented BHSU include James Costello, sophomore business major from Pierre; Ross Kohler, sophomore business major from Minnetrista, Minn.; Josh Breske, junior business major from Spearfish; Woung Bi Choi, freshman business major from Spearfish; Brandon Garrett, sophomore business major from Spearfish; Laura Seumanutafa, junior business major from Rapid City.

The event featured a variety of speakers, a roundtable discussion, and several workshops such as Dream Action Workshop, A Entrepreneurship Story, Resources for the Entrepreneur, Steps to Start, and the Idea Creation Workshop. The BHSU student team idea was chosen as the winner during the Idea Creation Workshop and the team was awarded with business software.
