Sam Hurst, television journalist and creator of DakotaDay.com; Bill Fleming, writer, designer, and advertising agency owner from Rapid City; Kevin Woster, reporter for the Rapid City Journal who also monitors and posts blogs to Mount Blogmore; and Fred Berendse, online technician for DakotaQ Internet Services; recently gathered on the Black Hills State University campus to discuss the history, the effects, and the future of blogging in conjunction with news reporting. This event was the finale for Dr. Mary Caton-Rosser’s year-long ground-breaking research on political blogs. This project was supported by a grant from Black Hills State University and the Chiesman Endowment for Democracy.
