The sealing of the time capsule is a historic moment at BHSU. This capsule has remained open throughout the Quasquicentennial year. Memorabilia commemorating the University’s celebration of its 125th anniversary have been added to the capsule throughout the year. When the time capsule is finally sealed on Founders Day, it will not be reopened until the Sesquicentennail (150th) anniversary of Black Hills State University on Feb. 27, 2033.
