Black Hills State University welcomes Glenn Grishkoff to the campus for brush making workshops Feb. 17 and 19. Grishkoff has a national and international reputation as a brush maker and ceramic artist.

Black Hills State University welcomes Glenn Grishkoff to the campus for brush making workshops Feb. 17 and 19. Grishkoff has a national and international reputation as a brush maker and ceramic artist.

His sculptural brush-like forms are functional works of art. He produces these brushes from various hairs such as deer hair, horse hair, and other natural materials and these brushes are used for mark making on various mix media surfaces.

Grishkoff’s brush-making workshop schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 17
    • 9:30-10:45 a.m. Woodburn Hall room 302
    • 4-7 p.m. Woodburn Hall room 311
  • Thursday, Feb. 19
    • 9:30-10:45 a.m. Woodburn Hall room 302
    • 4-7 p.m. Woodburn Hall room 302

A collection of Grishkoff’s brushes are currently on display in the Ruddell Gallery located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union.
