The South Dakota Stock Market Game (SDSMG) and the Center for Economic Education at Black Hills State University invite teachers and students to register for the Spring 2009 session of the stock market game. The session starts Feb 9 and ends April 17.
The SDSMG is a real-life 10 week simulation of the stock market. It teaches about the U.S. economic system while conveying and reinforcing basic concepts in economics, math, personal finance, business, social science, language arts, and more.
Don Altmyer, director of the BHSU Center for Economic Education and SDSMG coordinator, will be conducting a series of web based teacher training sessions the week before the game begins. During these sessions, teachers will learn about the various online teaching tools and curriculum resources available to them and their students. These training sessions are free to registered teachers.
To register your team, go to www.stockmarketgame.org select Registration, USA, South Dakota, and follow the prompts to submit the online registration.
