Over 40 winning entries are on display in the Ruddell Gallery, located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union at Black Hills State University for the 12th Annual South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA) Dakota MasterWorks Art Show. The show, which will be on display through Jan. 4, 2009, was created to feature the creativity and talents of older South Dakotans. This painting titled, “Fairview Farm House” was created by 103-year old Cecelia Oliphant of Canton, S.D. Oliphant’s daughter also entered this year’s show, but does not have an entry traveling in the winner’s exhibit show. 
The Ruddell Gallery, located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union at Black Hills State University is currently showcasing the winners' artwork from the 12th Annual South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA) Dakota MasterWorks Art Show.

The SDHCA Dakota MasterWorks, hosted by the SDHCA, Home Federal Bank and KELOLAND television, was created to feature the creativity and talents of older South Dakotans.

There are over 40 winning entries on display at the gallery, including a winning painting from 103-year old Cecelia Oliphant of Canton, S.D. titled, "Fairview Farm House." Oliphant’s daughter also entered this year's show, but does not have an entry traveling in the winner's exhibit show.

Entries were received in the following categories: oil, watercolor, and acrylic painting; drawing/pastels, photography, sculpture, and wood carving. Categories were divided into two age groups: experienced, ages 60 - 79; and masters, ages 80+. Professional judges Terry Green and Arne Bortnem juried the SDHCA Dakota MasterWorks Art Show.
