Black Hills State University will host “Twenty Sneaky Credit Card Tricks,” a financial presentation by Terry Mills, of Consumer Credit Counseling in Rapid City, Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. in Jonas Hall room 304. Mills will cover topics such as understanding the details of a credit card contract, viewing the fine print, and learning how to discern the benefits of one credit card company over another. 

This is the second of several financial seminars sponsored by Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) in conjunction with Highmark Federal Credit Union. Future seminars include “What to Do When Things Go Wrong,” on Nov. 12; “Importance of Your Credit,” will be held in February 2009; and “Steps to Take in Preparation of Making an Automobile Purchase or Purchasing a Home” will be held in March 2009.

SIFE is a global organization with more than 1,800 teams dispersed throughout 40 countries. SIFE teams develop outreach projects to teach students and the community about market economics, success skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business ethics.
