Black Hills State University associate professor of English, David Cremean recently worked for the national entity Educational Testing Services (ETS) on assessment matters. The job involved scoring essays for ETS's advanced placement exams in the English language in Daytona, Florida.
Along with English professionals from both high school and college levels from across the country, Cremean read and scored over 1,000 essays during the week. He has participated in scoring the essays for five years. In addition, in the past he has worked for ETS on their English Language Praxis test at their national headquarters and via computer on their CLEP tests. These experiences have familiarized him with and kept him up-to-date on major forms of national assessment.
Cremean earned his PhD in 2001 from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and is entering his ninth year at BHSU.
