On Saturday, August 11th, the Yellow Jacket Football Program welcomed 36 newcomers into the program by arriving on campus to start the 2007 training camp. Of the 36 arriving, 35 of them are freshman.

On Sunday, August 12th, the newcomers were joined by the senior class who will spend time with the freshman for a few days before the first full practice on Tuesday afternoon. The first three days of training camp is used as an orientation time for the newcomers where they will have a series of meetings, practices, and individual time with the seniors to learn what BHSU football is all about.

Coach Scott had this to say about the first three days of practice, “We are welcoming 36 guys to a three day orientation of football and college life. Having the seniors here really helps speed the process along. I am very impressed with the size and athletic ability of the newcomers during the first couple days of camp."

The rest of the team will report on Tuesday morning for the first official practice that afternoon. The Yellow Jackets will have two practices a day all the way through Saturday the 25th of September.

Saturday, August 18th, the team will be having their first official Jacket vs. Jacket scrimmage at 3:00PM at Papik Practice Field. This scrimmage will be open to the public. Practices will be held at 9:30AM and 6:30PM Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday practice will be held at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. All practices are also open to the public.
