Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University softball team continues to add players to their roster for the 2011-2012 season by signing senior Beth Ferrier from Gillette, Wyo. Ferrier is also a stand-out tennis player for the Camels.

“Beth has a ton of potential to make an impact on our team,” said head coach Amy Gurney. “She has come out of a program where she has been a leader and stepped up to play whatever position the team needed from her. She’s pitched, played outfield, and infield for Gillette, which gives her a lot of versatility when finding her fit with our team. We are excited that Beth is joining our Yellow Jacket family. She will be a great addition to our team.”

Ferrier plans to major in photography at Black Hills State, her parents are Jolene and Jeremy Ferrier. As a tennis player Ferrier was part of a state champion team in 2010 as well as earning 3rd place honors individually.
