Spearfish, S.D. – Black Hills State University sophomore Erin Curran, a native of Wahoo, Neb., earned Dakota Athletic Conference cross country female runner of the week for her efforts this past weekend at the DAC championship in Jamestown.  Curran brought home the individual conference championship and led the Yellow Jackets to a DAC team title.

Curran ran the 5k race in 18:25 to give Black Hills State its tenth conference title in eleven years.  The team win guaranteed Black Hills State an automatic berth at the NAIA National Cross Country Meet.

This will be the 55th annual men’s and 31st annual women’s event at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash., on November, 20.  The women’s 5k race is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PT/ 11:30 a.m. MT, followed by the men’s 8k at 11:45 a.m. PT/ 12:45 p.m. MT.
