Yankton, S.D.- The Black Hills State University women’s and men’s cross country teams placed first and third, respectively, Saturday, October 23 at the Mount Marty Invitational Cross Country Meet in Yankton, S.D.

The women’s team had three individuals finish in the top 15 en route to winning the Mount Marty Cross Country Invitational.  The Yellow Jackets were led by Courtney Dickson who finished in eighth place with a time of 18:32.  Leigh Anne Whiteside finished 12th with a time of 18:40 and Erin Curran finished 14th with a time of 18.48.

The men’s team was led by Neil Long who finished 17th who posted a time of 26:05.  K.C. Fielder finished 22nd with a time of 26:15 and Laine Parish finished 24th with a time of 26:17.  The team finished with a total of 113 points to place third behind Colorado College and Concordia.

Black Hills State will return to action Saturday, October 30, at the Prong Horn Open in Gillette, Wyo.
