Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University football team is now No. 20 in the most recent poll released by the NAIA after the Yellow Jackets 19-13 victory over Dickinson State.

The Yellow Jackets are ranked for the first time this season.  Black Hills State had been receiving votes in the polls in previous weeks, however, this is the first top 25 ranking for the Yellow Jackets since Oct. 5, 2009.

Black Hills State’s victory over Dickinson State dropped the Blue Hawks to No. 13.  S.D. School of Mines is the only other school from the Dakota Athletic Conference in the top 25.  The Hardrockers are No. 12 and will play Black Hills State on October 30 in Rapid City, S.D.

Black Hills State will return to action to take on Minot State on October 23 at 1 p.m. in Spearfish, S.D.
