Dickinson, N.D. – The Black Hills State University football team had a come from behind victory over the No. 9 Dickinson State on Saturday afternoon in Dickinson, N.D.  With the victory, Black Hills State moves to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the Dakota Athletic Conference.

The Yellow Jackets fell behind 10-0 before Drew Nielsen scored his first of two touchdowns on the day.  Nielsen’s 17-yard run cut the Dickinson State lead to 10-7 and that score held until halftime.

Dickinson State kicked a 29-yard field goal in the third quarter to give the Blue Hawks a 13-7 lead.  Black Hills State would rally to score two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.  Mike Jager capped a 7-play 27-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown run.  Nielsen added his second touchdown of the day on a 1-yard run to finish off an 8-play 65-yard drive.  Nielsen finished the day with 70 yards on the ground.  Quarterback Drew Hodgs threw for 129 yards on 15-of-23 passing with 1 interception.

Black Hills State will take on Minot State in the team’s next game on October 23 at 1 p.m. in Spearfish, S.D.
