Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University football team will square-off against No. 9 Dickinson State on Saturday, October 16 at 1 p.m. MT in Dickinson, N.D.  Black Hills State is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll.

The Yellow Jackets enter the contest at 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the Dakota Athletic Conference.  The Blue Hawks are undefeated on the season with a 6-0 record and a 4-0 conference mark. 

The game will be a battle of two of the nation’s best defenses.  Black Hills State is ranked 16th in total defense allowing only 275 yards per game.  The Yellow Jackets are the nation’s leader in sack with 25 total and an average of 4.2 sacks per game.  Dickinson State has the nation’s seventh leading tackler in Joe Whealy.  Whealy averages 11.3 tackles per game.
