Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University men’s and women’s cross country teams are both ranked in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll.  The women’s team is ranked No. 15 this week falling from No. 8 last week.  The men’s team entered the poll for the first time this season at the No. 25.

Last week, the women’s team had a strong showing at the Roy Griak Invitational.  The Yellow Jackets finished 11th in the Division II race despite missing 2009 Dakota Athletic Conference Most Valuable Runner Erin Curran.  The men’s team also performed well and the Roy Griak Invitational finishing 9th overall.

Black Hills State will return to action on October 9 at the Briar Cliff College Invitational in McCook Lake, S.D.
