Minot, N.D. – The Black Hills State University women’s golf team placed second at the Minot State Invitational in Minot, N.D. led by sophomore Brandi Holmes.

Sophomore Brandi Holmes posted a two-day total of 169 to win the overall individual title.  Black Hills State finished with a total of 707 for the tournament, 13 strokes behind tournament champion Minot State.

“We played much better this tournament,” said head coach Jaime Bentley.  “Brandi (Holmes) played really well and she was able to finish the tournament on top.”

Black Hills State will return to action in the spring.  The Yellow Jackets will open the spring season at the S.D. School of Mines Invitational in Rapid City, S.D. on April 10-11, 2011.
