Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University softball team is hosting the First Annual Guadalajara Invitational on Saturday, September 18.  The tournament will be held at the Black Hills State softball complex in Spearfish and is for coed softball teams.  Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Yellow Jacket softball team.

“I hope that folks can come out and enjoy a fun day at the ball park,” said Black Hills State head softball coach Amy Gurney.  “This is a fundraiser that will help us pay for a trip to Tucson, Ariz. to play this spring.”

The cost of the tournament is $125 per team and includes a three game guarantee.  Prizes will be awarded to both the first place team and the consolation champion.  Other fundraising activities at the tournament will include Yellow Jacket softball t-shirt sales, a raffle, and bar-b-que.

To register for the tournament or to ask any questions, contact Amy Gurney at (605) 641-2622 or via e-mail at Amy.Gurney@BHSU.edu.
