Azusa, Calif. – The Black Hills State University volleyball team was defeated 3-1 Thursday night by Hope International at the Cougar Classic hosted by Azusa Pacific.

Black Hills State dropped the first set 25-16 and the second set 25-19.  The Yellow Jackets bounced back in the third set defeating Hope 25-16.  Black Hills State could not complete the comeback though, falling in the fourth set 25-19.

The Yellow Jackets were led in kills by redshirt freshman Amy O’Neill who tallied 12 kills in the four set match.

Black Hills State will return to the court on Friday for two matches.  The Yellow Jackets face San Diego Christian at 10 a.m. PT and host school Azusa Pacific 4:30 p.m. PT.
