Kearney, Neb. – Black Hills State Track and field team competed at the University of Nebraska Kearney Twilight Meet and were led by Cody Milbourn in the Hammer Throw who placed a new meet record of 52.45 Meters.

Lisa Koch placed first in the women’s pole vault with 3.75 Meters which was also a new meet record. Freshman Breanna Janovy won the women’s discus throw with a distance of 44.20 meters. Shannon Hellman won the 100 meters and also set a new meet record posting a time of 13.82 seconds.

On the men’s side of things Neil Long won the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:11.28 and Cameron Dean set a new meet record of 54.32 in the 400 meter hurdles which earned him the top position.  Birch Haraden and Mark Mazza finished third and fifth respectively in the 3000 meter run.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action Friday, May 7 at the Dakota Athletic Conference Championship in Rapid City, S.D.
