Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State softball team dropped two games to conference rival Dickinson State Tuesday afternoon.  The Yellow Jackets lost the first game 6-0 and then fell in the second game 8-0 in six innings.

In the first game, senior Karissa Norte led the Yellow Jackets offensively with two hits in three at-bats.  Junior Ashley Berg was the only other Yellow Jacket to get a hit in the game going 1-for-3 from behind the plate.  Dickinson State’s Sara Jane Webster struck-out 11 Black Hills State batters.

Black Hills State did not fare any better in game two.  Freshman Meagan Bell was the only Yellow Jacket to tally a hit.  Dickinson State took control of the game in the fifth inning scoring five runs, including a three-run homerun by Danielle Crawford.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Wednesday, April 28 when they take the diamond vs. Western Nebraska Community College.  Game times are set for 3 and 5 p.m. MT.
