Sioux City, IA – The Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets knew that they would have to step up their game defensively if they wanted to keep their tournament hopes alive and they were able to do that against the three point crazy Eastern Oregon Mountaineers as they defeated Mountaineers 67-58.

The Lady Yellow Jackets once led by as many as 20 points, but the resilient Mountaineers were able to fight back and make a game of it. It looked as though Eastern Oregon may be able to make a game out of it, but seniors Jenna Bolstad and Alana Dykhouse would have nothing to do with that. When the game was on the line Bolstad Stepped up and had two key possessions scoring the Jackets five points, Bolstad finished the contest with 15 points. Dykhouse had been battling all night in the post with Eastern Oregon’s Tana Stickney and Dykhouse was able to get three consecutive offensive rebounds to keep the Jackets offensive possession alive.

The Yellow Jackets will take on Indiana Wesleyan Friday, March 12th at 3:30 Central. Indian Wesleyan will come into the game as the number three seed; the Yellow Jackets will be the number two seed. All game can be seen on www.watchnaia.org, kdsj 980 am or heard live online at www.kdsj980.com.
