January 25, 2010 – Despite getting momentarily stuck in North Dakota due to road closures, the Black Hills State Lady Yellow Jackets remained unfazed as they defeated the Minot State Beavers in Minot, N.D. on Saturday 66-58.
Katelynn Lamb once again led the Yellow Jacket women with an impressive 17 points and seven rebounds. Lamb’s performance was also personally monumental as she surpassed 1000 career points.
It was the team shooting percentage that was the deciding factor in the outcome of the game. Although Minot State had less turnovers and fouls, Black Hills State shot 43 percent from the field compared to the Beaver’s 31 percent.
Next up for the Lady Yellow Jackets is a Thursday evening matchup against DAC conference rival, South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City, S.D.
