Kelsie Kallhoff, a senior at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls, SD has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Black Hills State University beginning in the fall of 2010. Kelsie will study Wellness Management at BHSU. Kelsie’s parents are Curtis and Deborah Kallhoff.

“Kelsie is a great addition to our team. We look for players who will contribute to our program from an athletic stand point right away, but who will also work hard in the classroom and earn their degree at BHSU. Kelsie is a phenomenal student and will be a great asset to our team in the outfield and at the plate. We have strong team chemistry, and we know that Kelsie will be a great fit as a Yellow Jacket,” commented Head Coach Amy Gurney.

Kelsie is a member of Empty Bowls, TATTOO, and very active in her local church. She played for the O’Gorman Knights through her high school career and the Sioux Falls Flash during the summer. Kelsie was an All-Tournament player, a current member of the National Honor Society, and on the Honor Roll.

“We are very excited to have Kelsie join our softball family here at Black Hills State University, Coach Gurney said. Growing up and playing in the strong Sioux Falls program has given her the opportunity to grow into a talented softball player, who will do great things at the college level.”
