Spearfish, S.D.- The Black Hills State University Volleyball team (23-11) defeated Dickinson State (12-13) 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-21)on Wednesday night to advance to the DAC Championship match in Jamestown N.D..

The Yellow Jackets were led in kills by senior middle hitter Kristin Engle who tallied 13 on the evening. Engle touted a hitting percentage of .481 and racked up two solo blocks and seven assisted blocks. Freshman outside hitter Kylee Lamb was second on the team in kills with 12.

Head Volleyball Coach Jhett Albers was pleased with his team’s performance. “Kylee Lamb really came through tonight,” said Albers. “For a freshman to perform as well as she did in a DAC playoff game really says a lot about her skills. Kristin Engle was once against a workhorse for us. Anytime you can get that kind of production out of one player makes it easier on the rest of the team.”

The Yellow Jackets will travel to face Jamestown in Jamestown N.D. at 7 pm central/6 mountain.  This is a rematch of last years DAC Championship match when the Yellow Jackets took down the Jimmies in five sets.

Coach Albers added, “Even with the two stand out performances, I am most impress with the overall team effort, as that is what we will need to get another DAC Championship this weekend.”
