After two weeks traveling on the road the Yellow Jackets return home for Swarm Days and the DAC season opener this Saturday against Mayville State University.  BHSU is coming off a 21-7 victory last weekend in Alva, Oklahoma against Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  “After two weeks on the road our team is ready to play in front of a home crowd and it being Swarm Days is just an added bonus,” said Head Coach Jay Long.

Keys to the Game Offensively:

The Yellow Jackets will look to establish their running game early against the Comets.  BHSU will also look to open up the air attack and build on last week’s performance.  Senior wide receiver Corey Wheeler from Cheyenne, Wyoming had seven catches for 107 yards and one touchdown last weekend.  “Offensively our goal will be to establish consistency,” added Coach Long.

Keys to the Game Defensively:

Defensively the Yellow Jackets will look to contain junior quarterback Jake McLain.  “Mayville offensively runs a nice package utilizing the strengths of McLain where he has the option to run or pass,” stated Coach Long.

The Swarm Day festivities will kick off this Saturday with the legendary parade beginning in the Donald E. Young Center parking lot at 10 AM which will be followed by the pregame tailgate in the Young Center parking lot.  The tailgate will feature Kory & the Fireflies.  Kickoff is set for 1 PM as the Yellow Jackets will take on the Mayville State University Comets.  If you are unable to attend this weekend you can view the game live through pay per view on the BHSU Athletic Website at www.bhsu.edu/athletics.
