The Yellow Jackets entered the game this past Sunday having won 11 games in a row.  BHSU got to the championship game after defeating Dakota State University and South Dakota School of Mines earlier in the week.  Minot State University defeated Mayville State University and Dickinson State University.  The Yellow Jackets entered the game ranked #5 in the NAIA and with a record of 26-4.

In the first half, BHSU got off to a great start taking an early advantage 17-4 after senior Randy Herman connected on a three-pointer.  The Beavers bounced right back eventually making the game even at halftime 37-37.  In the second half, sophomore Will John Johnson scored the first bucket and the Yellow Jackets never looked back increasing their lead to double figures and taking the game 93-77.  BHSU was led by Will John Johnson with 20 points and 16 rebounds.  Sophomore Luke Enos had 18 points and for his efforts he was named DAC Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.  Sophomore Clay Pottorff had 17 points and sophomore Cain Atkinson added 12 points.

The 27-4 Yellow Jackets will now wait until Wednesday to find out who their opponent in the first round of the National Tournament will be.  The National Tournament will be played in Branson, Missouri at Keeter Gymnasium.  Please check back on the BHSU Athletic Website Wednesday afternoon to find out more first round information.
