The Yellow Jackets entered the game Wednesday night 25-4 and ranked #5 in the NAIA as they looked to advance to the DAC Conference finals.  South Dakota School of Mines came into the game after defeating Valley City State University in the quarterfinals this past Sunday.

In the first half, both teams struggled to get things going as the Hardrockers took a halftime lead into the locker room 20-18.  After the intermission the Yellow Jackets got back on track scoring 59 points in the second half behind strong inside play from sophomore Luke Enos.  “After we struggled in the first half it was great to see our guys bounce back and gain momentum in the second half.  Our bench gave us a great lift,” said Head Coach Paul Sather.  The Yellow Jackets increased their lead to as many as 14 points before taking the game 77-67.  BHSU was led by Luke Enos with 20 points and nine rebounds.  Senior Aaron Sutton had 13 points and sophomores Clay Pottorff and Cain Atkinson each added 12 points.

The 26-4 Yellow Jackets will now host Minot State University this Sunday in the Donald E. Young Center for the championship of the DAC Conference.  Please check the schedule for the exact game time.
