The Yellow Jackets picked up a pair of victories on the road this past weekend defeating Dakota State University and Mayville State University.  Entering the weekend the Yellow Jackets were 17-4 and ranked 9th in the NAIA.  Friday, the Yellow Jackets got off to a sluggish start only shooting 32% from the field.  BHSU had the lead at halftime 25-23.  In the second half the Yellow Jackets exploded scoring 46 points and building their lead to double figures.  BHSU won the game 71-61.  The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Clay Pottorff with 18 points.  Sophomore Spencer Childress had 16 points including 4-6 from behind the three point arc and sophomore Cain Atkinson added 14 points.

Saturday, BHSU got off to a much better start increasing their first half lead to as many as 24 points over Mayville State.  The Comets tried to get back in the game getting within eight points in the second half but the Yellow Jackets kept increasing their lead back to double figures eventually taking the game 97-84.  Cain Atkinson led the way 25 points.  Sophomore Luke Enos chipped in 19 points, Clay Pottorff had 17 points, and senior Randy Herman added 10 points going 3-3 from behind the three point line.

The 19-4 Yellow Jackets will be at home this weekend as they host two teams that are also at the top of the DAC Conference.  Friday they will host Minot State University and Dickinson State on Saturday.  The last time these two teams met BHSU lost a tough one in overtime at Dickinson state and won on a last second shot at Minot.  If you are unable to attend these games, than you can see them live on the BHSU Athletics Website through pay per view.
