The Yellow Jackets finished up play for the holiday break this past weekend as they took on Presentation College and Grace University.  The Yellow Jackets entered the weekend 8-1 and ranked #7 in the NAIA.

Saturday, the Yellow Jackets hosted Presentation College from Aberdeen, South Dakota.  The Yellow Jackets got off to a slow start in the first ten minutes but finished the first half strong taking a 41-26 lead into halftime.  In the second half, the Yellow Jackets stretched their lead to as many as 19 points taking the game 86-72.  BHSU was led by sophomore Cain Atkinson with 19 points.  Senior Aaron Sutton had 18 points, senior Randy Herman shot the ball well from the perimeter and finished with 14 points, and sophomore Clay Pottorff added 10 points.

Monday, the Yellow Jackets took the lead into halftime 31-21 over Grace University.  In the second half, the Yellow Jackets would stretch their lead to as many as 21 points taking the game 67-53.  BHSU was led by senior AJ Fodness with 10 points.  The Yellow Jackets held Grace University to only 35% shooting from the field on the evening.

The 10-1 Yellow Jackets will now be off for the holiday break until December 29th &30th where they will host the Perkins Classic in the Donald E. Young Center.  On December 29th the Yellow Jackets will host Shorter College from Rome, Georgia and on December 30th the Yellow Jackets will host Johnson & Wales University from Denver, Colorado.  Both games will be played at 7:30pm.  If you are unable to attend the tournament please visit the BHSU Athletic Website to view all games through pay per view.
